AboitizPower is going to adopt a 10-hectare marsh land in Orani for its Tubo-tubo Island Mangrove Conservation project. In 2023, Aboitiz adopted a 20-hectare mangrove plantation also in Orani, Bataan.

The power generating firm’s CEO Ronaldo Ramos inked a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Raphael Lotila, Bataan 3rd Dist. Representative Gila Garcia, Orani Mayor Jon Arizapa, and TFA Chair Rosana Laxa to pursue the project.

The mangrove conservation project is under the auspices of Baka1Bataan under Project TRANSFORM. It aims to create a mangrove plantation to promote healthy environment and to serve as protection against storm surge.
